UNLEASH Hack Mogadishu: Nature Solutions for Climate Resilience will bring together bright minds, changemakers, and young innovators to design creative and practical solutions to one of Somalia’s most pressing challenges: climate change.
Communities across Somalia are facing the devastating effects of recurrent droughts, flash floods, and land degradation. These challenges threaten food systems, water security, and fragile ecosystems – especially in rural and coastal areas where nature is both a source of survival and resilience.
This year’s Hack focuses on scaling nature-based solutions (NbS) – restoring forests, wetlands, and mangroves, and strengthening sustainable land use – while empowering communities to lead climate adaptation efforts.
