Clivate Hub at the 3rd African Business and Human Rights Forum in Nairobi

On October 8-10, 2024, Clivate Hub’s Partnership Officer, Khadar M Said, joined over 400 participants from 43 countries at the 3rd African Business and Human Rights Forum in Nairobi, Kenya. This pivotal gathering sparked in-depth discussions on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and their application across African economies.

The forum provided an invaluable platform to examine the critical role businesses play in human rights protection and ethical development practices, with a particular emphasis on transparency and accountability. Through dialogue, knowledge exchange, and strategic networking, Khadar and other representatives fostered new partnerships focused on embedding human rights in climate-focused development and responsible business practices.

We are grateful to UNDP and partners for hosting this impactful forum, underscoring the role of responsible business in sustainable development.
